A workhorse, designed to meet any demanding typing needs. One of a new line of portables first introduced in 1935 that included the Standard, Sterling and Silent. The Silent model (later became Silent-Super) was the top of the line model and was produced all the way into the 1950s under the company's new name, Smith-Corona. The Super Silent equipped with many features of a standard office machine including a 88 character keyboard, Tab Set and Clear and an interchangeable platen.
