reminicsing memories since 2000s

Welcome to Vintage Empire. We started out in 2000s when Jason chanced upon a vintage typewriter in the old school street markets and voila, he fell in love with it and started to learn the craft of fixing typewriters and thanks to his uncle’s patient mentoring, we are proud to pass on the lost art of repairing typewriters. It’s literally a dying breed.

We must emphasise that it’s truly important to not lose this lost art of repairing and we hope our future generations will thank us for it.

Q: Why are we keen on promoting something that might go extinct forever?

A: Because we truly believe that we should not lose ourselves in the digital world despite the fact that technology is disrupting the world. We also have college students and young kids coming to us becoz they felt that they needed a digital detox from the stressful technology. Some of them prefer to soak into their world of writings and poems and we need to continue to support these younglings. “Disconnect to connect” is perhaps the best way to describe what they feel.

We do also have customers who were handed down their grandfather’s/father’s heirloom which they wish to restore/repair because memories are forever and we are very glad to be part of those precious memories.

So if you are keen on picking up a typewriter/have a hobby of writing or a potential poet/writer. We open our doors wide to anyone who wishes to drop by to share some stories that we have been reminicising these past years. Some of our customers do drop by with their children and we do share and teach their children how to use a typewriter which is something they have probably never seen. And that’s really nice to see them curious about the past of pre-computer times!

Also you don’t have to be just a collector to share some thoughts, stories or the forgotten past. We just need to share some bits of sweet memories, that’s what matter most.

Thanks for coming by our site. We welcome you to join us in the typewriter revolution!

Till we see you then. :)

P.S: This website is dedicated to my Loving Parents who inspired and showed me what unconditional love and dedication is all about... Believe in yourself even if one else believes you. ( I love the both of you very much!)
